Nolan told Tamara Cullen of TV Week that it was "a wonderful surprise." Heather comes to Summer Bay to get help from Roo Stewart with a law school application, but causes suspicion when she takes a photo of Marilyn Chambers .
Marilyn later receives word that Heather is unfit to stand trial for her crimes and is committed to a psychiatric hospital. Just a few days later, fan account @theking.j.r posted another photo of JR on set. This time, he was wearing the same black leather jacket that characterised his character, giving serious weight to the idea that Emmett will be back in the new year in what we expect to be a short guest role. From 2013 until 2017, Home and Away used a series of five-second opening titles, which changed every week. The various titles mostly featured scenes of bikini-clad women and shirtless men with surfboards at the beach.

Rob Mallett was seen wearing a blue singlet and black trilby hat, while looking at a poster for a live music night at Salt, named ‘Lyric’. The character took one of the posters as he had an animated discussion with Angelina Thomson’s character. Photos from the Daily Mail showed actors Jamaica Vaughan, Angelina Thomson and Rob Mallett filming scenes for the show earlier this month. Kawakawa posted an Instagram story of Lucas filming with Ethan Browne outside the surf club, in a scene which was also seen by witnessed by fans on the Home and Away Tour.

Panozzo was unable to attend her audition for the role in person after she contracted COVID-19, so she had to audition over a Zoom call with the casting producers. Writers established a connection between Eden and Cash Newman , as it emerges that they dated before their arrivals in Summer Bay.

Heather reacts when she hears Roo call out to Marilyn Chambers, and she later takes a photo of Marilyn on her phone. She later invites PK to Salt, where she pitches him an idea to repay her debt – they will hose another VIP poker night and she will give him the buy-in takings. However, PK says that he will run the night and then demands all of the money made, causing an angered Mac to ask him to leave. He later sends some men to Salt to steal the takings and trash the restaurant. Mac confronts PK and tells him that she knows he conned her and that Tane could have died.
However, Constables Cash Newman and Rose Delaney arrive, having discovered that Heather killed her stepmother. Heather grabs Marilyn and forces her up to the roof, where she is confronted by Cash. He tries to talk her down, but Heather pulls Marilyn up onto the ledge of a balcony and attempts to reach an open window. The masonry crumbles and Heather falls to the floor below, but she is not killed. Marilyn leaves as an enraged Heather flies into a rant, yelling that her friends know the truth and will never look at her the same way again.

Some viewers speculated that PK might be an undercover police officer and was going to bust the illegal gambling nights hosted by Mackenzie, but Johnson told Kerry Harvey of Stuff that while he could not confirm or deny the theory, he did not play the character that way. Harvey pointed out that it was ironic Johnson was playing a gambler, as he was not that kind of risk taker in real life. After the Seven Network cancelled their soap opera Neighbours on 12 July 1985 due to low ratings, rival Network 10 picked it up and turned it into a success. A couple of years later, Seven's head of drama, Alan Bateman, became desperate to get back into the soap market and began to work out how to launch another soap that was not a copy of Neighbours. While on a trip to Kangaroo Point, New South Wales with his family, Bateman began talking to locals who were "up in arms" over the construction of a foster home for children from the city.

While we don’t know very much about his new character, the press release accompanying his casting described Xander as “a mysterious individual who arrives in the Bay searching for answers”. However, with Tori and Christian’s recent departure to London, taking baby Grace with them, our bets are her jumping on a flight to visit them for a couple of weeks. Thankfully, it seems that both are set to make a full recovery, and somebody must manage to dig Ryder up in time. Courtney Miller, who plays Bella, recently posted a snippet of a script on Instagram, which confirms that Ryder will be in the show until at least the middle of next year. When we return to Summer Bay in early 2022, it’s a race against time for the boys’ survival.
The Jackeroo Ranch estate in Kenthurst had been used for the exterior sets of the Summer Bay House and Caravan Park since 1988. After both sets were destroyed by a bushfire in December 2002, the caravan park set was moved and filmed at other locations such as the Waratah Park Earth Sanctuary between 2007–09 and the Lane Cove River Tourist Park between 2010 and 2014. A replica of the Summer Bay House was rebuilt in its original location at the Kenthurst estate several years later, with the exception of a grey roof instead of a red one. The caravan park set moved back to the estate after the house was rebuilt, and both exterior sets made their on-screen returns in 2015. The Summer Bay House is the only house to still be seen on screen since the pilot episode.
He has since been placed in remand, and the Paratas have visited him on a number of occasions, but unusually, all of this has happened off-screen. “I can’t believe if it’s off air here for 7 weeks, don’t know how I’ll cope and of course it ended on a massive cliffhanger,” one fan commented on the soap’s Instagram account. Anna Sampson , Kawakawa Fox-Reo , Ethan Browne and Courtney Miller were also all spotted on set during a Home and Away Location Tour at the start of November, suggesting they will all be on screens well into the new year. The pair were spotted filming romantic scenes together in mid October, suggesting that they’ll be together well into 2022. It may not be the juciest of spoilers, but considering Jasmine’s recent spell of bad luck in the love department, it’s worth a mention.
Bob Forsyth, played by Rob Mallet, made his first appearance on 4 July 2022. Bob is one of four characters who make up the fictional band Lyrik, who have been introduced following the departure of four cast members in 2022.
